About Lourdes Fisa
LOURDES FISA(Corbera de Llobregat, Barcelona, 1964), is a visual artist with a long-standing career. She began her exhibition career in 1989 and to this day has presented her work in multiple exhibitions in institutions, museums and art galleries, both nationally and internationally. She has presented more than fifty individual exhibitions and seventy group exhibitions. She is a graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, having specialised in engraving and printing, to then further her studies at the Hochshule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig, Germany and at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, USA. Her trips to Israel, the United States, Europe and Japan have left their mark on her work, always attentive to change, the journey, and the artistic and life journey.Fisa's work is a constant artistic exploration in which she looks at concepts relating to nature and also to humanity: fragility, strength, pain, light, travel, movement, among others. Her work is built with hybrid techniques and disciplines between painting, engraving and installation, on different supports such as fiberglass, paper, wood or fabric. She combines stamping techniques in painting and collage, creating a contrast of lines and materials that is very characteristic of her work, and highly valued by art lovers.Throughout abstract language that seduces us, Lourdes Fisa achieves her own graphic architecture and personal iconography. She has a subtle work based on layers, and with an attentive and respectful look at the environment, the artist expresses creative freedom and the need to preserve nature. We highlight the exhibitions: Fragilities, InspirIations, Atlas, The Invisible Trace, Aqva sobre Água, Sos Nature!, Melodys of light, among others, which with her work invites us to participate in a symbolic and poetic world. Her work is present in prestigious private collections and institutions in Catalonia, Spain and other countries, such as Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfebüttel; Fundación Vila Casas, Barcelona; Joan Flasch Artist's Book Collection, Chicago; Gráfica Contemporánea Biblioteca Nacional, Madrid; Colección Testimoni la Caixa o Colección Enciclopedia Catalana. The current project ArtLiving by Lourdes Fisa integrates art into architecture and design to live the experience of art in living spaces.
