Habitar l'Espai

Description

"Inhabiting space" is the title of this series that studies the relationship between form and its opposite of emptiness.
Forms generate space, we generate space and space acquires an identity from the body that secretes it.
For me, the work is a territory of action, as a constructive game, where the process is the most important.

Sol Vidal Massaguer

I'm Sol Vidal, from Igualada, resident in Barcelona.
I graduated in Fine Arts in Barcelona, then continued my training and studied intaglio techniques in Barra de Ferro (Barcelona) and also in Fuendetodos (Aragó).
Pursuing the search for new ways of working, I trained in Barra de Ferro in the specialty of Polymers
My eagerness to learn led me to study other engraving techniques at Joan Miró's workshop in Palma de Mallorca.
At the Capellades Paper Museum I learned the techniques with the Japanese master papermakers Nakara, Nishimura and Ijiri. And years later I expanded the Hand Made Paper Art techniques with the help of Laurence Barker
I have worked with Master Sabater in Corc (La Pobla de Claramunt) in the world of restoration. During this time I learned traditional techniques from the world of restoration.
Following my spirit of research, I studied Techniques of dyeing plant fibers, with natural dyes. Barcelona Textile Museum. I have a Postgraduate Degree "From the imprint recorded to the fingerprint". Fine Arts Faculty of Barcelona.
I would define myself as a very curious person and this leads me to be constantly training myself.
