Josep Riera i Aragó is a visual artist, born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1954.
He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. Throughout his career, he devoted himself as much to sculpture as to painting or graphic arts. Riera i Aragó creates in his work a universe of machines and artifacts (zeppelins, planes, submarines). In addition to bronze, he also uses iron and various materials which allow him to make his planes or submarines float in a magical atmosphere. He has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions and is included in various public collections. He also created monumental sculptures for public spaces.
